Twin disc clutch question

Hey guys, my car is going to the shop tomorrow to get some work done. I'm having a twin disc RXT McLeod clutch being installed along with some DSS 1000 hp axles. My question is what will I expect from this. I have 607 hp to the wheels and I'm going from my stock clutch to this. Will the difference be in the stick and how it feels going into the gears or is it the pedal. I'm not sure and was hoping someone could explain this to me. I'm hearing that it will grab the gears better but how? Any info will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

I guess I'll just have to wait and find out.

Mine has no slip.....kinda side step the clutch. Pedal is a little firmer. Shifts smooth. I have a Ram twin disc.

Sweet, what do you mean by side step the clutch?

My clutch grabs instantly...... There's no slipping it. Makes it kind of a pain to load on my trailer. But that's my only complaint with it.

I have a Mantic and it's pretty much like stock.

The idea of a multiple disc clutch is to increase the friction surface area, and the HP the clutch can hold as a result, without increasing the plate pressure so you don't have to squat like Bill Kazmaier to be able to push the clutch in.

I have about 200 miles on my RXT and the only thing that I notice is it grabs higher then stock. I just added 250 hp. Worried about axles now

Got it. I'm sure it's going to make a minute to adjust. I can't wait to feel the difference. I'm getting the 1000 hp axles installed along with the clutch. I'm thinking I'll be at 660-680 whp range. Ever take yours to the track? What times were you running if so?
