Roll the ....SW Transformation

Long story, so sit back and hopefully enjoy...I orderd my car December 13th, 2011. I was pleased and happy as there were exactly zero new 2012 SW 2LT non RS, manual with beige interior in the country! End of January comes and I am getting excited as it is getting close to the day of my car arriving. (I didn't get GM tracking/build info from my dealer--They had never heard of it!) I am perusing Ebay, just looking and see my car for sale from the dealer I ordered it from! I sent my salesperson an email asking what was up...we went back and forth, talked to the sales manager, then GM. I ended up cancelling the order...after the sales person called me an A-hole in a text message!

I ended up buying a 2007 Corvette Lemans Blue...worse nightmare. It was a CPO car. Had problems with it from day 2. Took it to my local dealer (300 miles from where I bought it) and they informed me it was not under warranty and cannot be certified! 2 weeks later after threatening legal action, dealer takes the car back and I tell them I want a Camaro...not just any Camaro, but the one I ordered! (these are the very shortened versions without anger and pain)

So on March 26th, they deliver my Camaro to me in Savannah! I can't believe I finally got the car I originally ordered. It is everything I wanted it to be! I loved the color and interior. It is smoother and nicer than I remembered the test drives I had and even keeping one overnight.

I have owned many cars in my life, but I truly enjoy this car more than almost anyone I have ever owned. It is special in it's own right and deserves the looks it gets from the public. I think it is cross generational in that people young and old can appreciate it for different reasons.

My car was different, but not different enough...so I began exterior modifications and began painting and playing with paint. I had never painted anything other than model cars before, so this was all new to me....I like how it all turned out so far and will do more under the hood as time goes on.

I have never been to a car show in my life, but I want to go and enter a few just to be around other nice cars and car enthusiasts!

First thing I did was paint the calipers yellow....I saw a Corvette with gray wheels and yellow calipers and loved it so thought I would duplicate that! Then I added the ABM Stripe, wheels, and so on...following are pictures as I did these mods...

Just put the heritage grille and Eagle Eye lights on Sunday, windows tinted last week as well...so not many pics of those yet. As I add mods, I will update...I have more pics, I just need to upload them. I have really enjoyed working on and modifying this car to truly make it mine!
