Spoiler install

Hi all,
I have done a search and didn't come up with an answer so here's the question. I bought a replacement spoiler in carbon fiber from Seibon and it is suppose to be a direct replacement for the original but before I get the car out of storage and take it apart, I want to know if there are any gaskets or seals between it and the trunk lid I need to get to install it on a 2014 SS convertible?

It's still in storage and I'm getting the itch to drive it again since we have been getting warmer weather!

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

I have no idea but I feel like your best bet would be to ask "Seibon" that question...

I have tried to contact them a couple of times but they haven't replied. They do have a simple video but it's more how to mark and drill for one not actually how it's mounted.

Maybe try to take it to your local dealership and have them mount it. I did that with my replica ZL1 spoiler and I've had 0 issues. They used all the hardware that they would had used on any of their OEM spoilers. Give you a bit of peace of mind, if you trust your dealership.

I installed my ZL1oem Spoiler. Had Gary's paint a new trunk for me. Maybe this can give you some ideas:

There is nothing that will come with the kit from Seibon. What i have seen people do when installing a spoiler, is go buy some sticky sided felt and wrap the surrounding part of the spoiler that will make contact with the trunk. I called Seibon to verify this for you.
