Huron Speed Twin Turbo Kit Review

I made the choice to switch it up a bit and remove my LSA blower to go with twin turbos and the company I ended up working with was Huron Speed. The team at Huron speed was great and what a good decision to go this route. Jon Ojczyk from Huron was absolutely awesome through the entire process. Answering all of my questions seven days a week and I mean seven days a week lol. The customer service they provide is top notch, I couldn’t have ask for anything better. Turnaround time was pretty good as well. From the date of placement I believe it only took a week and a half for everything to show up. Turbo’s came separately since they needed to be built however Comp provided them in a very respectable timeframe. Here is what I ended up going with on the kit.
Huron Speed Twin Turbo Kit: Clamps, piping, tank misc etc…
4 inch intercooler
CT4X Billet 3BB Comp oil-Less 67 65 Turbos .68 A/R
Turbosmart Waste gates 45’s
Turbosmart Race-Port BOV
Huron speed Stainless Tubular Manifolds
Huron speed 3 inch Stainless exhaust

I decided to upgrade a few items before starting the build:
Fully ported LSA heads
Bigger Valves
LS9 Head Gaskets
BTR 660 lift springs
ARP Head Studs
Melling oil pump
160 degree thermostat
New lifters and trays
New water pump
Ceramic Coated all of the hot side piping in 2K degree coating
The washer tank provided with the kit I used as a meth tank
Stage 2 BTR Twin Turbo Cam
Mighty Mouse Catch Can
Holley Fuel Rails
GFB G-Force II boost controller
Painted Intake manifold, intake tube, Meth Tank
PTP turbo blankets

The HSP kit fitment is nice and tight with no modification needed, just took a minute to figure out how to run some of the cold side piping. The clamps and silicon connectors are of great quality. I’ve seen other kits that really cheap out on stuff like clamps which can pose a real issue. Going with the oil-less turbos from Comp was a great recommendation by the team at HSP which eliminates the need to run a scavenge pump. Lines tap into the heater core that feed to the turbos. The turbos have zerk fittings which require you to push a few pumps a grease every oil change to keep the bearings in tip top shape. The HSP Tubular manifolds are of great quality with thick flanges and nice welds. The three inch exhaust is of great quality as well. Polished stainless tubing with nice polished tips. After Break in it was time to hit the dyno. I was very impressed with the numbers we put down. Because I’m stock bottom end we only pushed the car so far. Using Meth for cooling purposes only, not dependent on spray since I’m running a very nice intercooler from HSP. On 17 degrees of timing and 14 lbs of boost we put down 858 HP and 787 TQ on a mustang dyno. Road characteristics are awesome. Turbos spool quick and put you back into your seat. All in all I’m really glad I went this route and chose to work with the team at HSP. If you guys are looking for a turbo kit for your build, check these guys out. You won’t be disappointed.

is .67 A/R a type O? That seems awfully small.

Where are the coolant Ts? Jon intended they go at the firewall I think but you don't have them there.

Awesome car too!

I can’t agree more with all you said!!
I’m very close to ur numbers on 93 and the 62/65 journal
Which I’m getting ready to swap for oil less.
Not sure if I did this link right but here’s a small idle of mine.

Makes me think I should have went oil-less. I had some issues with their billet drain flanges having a bad beveled edge and getting a leak. I upgraded to a turbowerx pump and works flawless. I routed my return to the passenger side of the pan as I'm using MM catch can. Nice looking setup and car!

That looks and sounds amazing! Question though.. is it high enough so it doesnt scratch in case your car bottoms out?

Have you had to drive through any big puddles?

No issues with mine yet and a have a large slope on my mountable curb getting into my driveway. Granted, I am stock height. The kit includes a skid plate as well.
