Well this is a 1st (ZL1 conversion = a non working trunk).

Anyway maybe (hopefully) it's just stuck, open it manually using the trunk release in the trunk.

Translation: Lower back seat, enter trunk, pull trunk release.

There is a Cause and Effect to everything. I can see how the front bumper replacement would cause this issue.

You have to use a wiring harness for the ZL1 foglights to work separately and it goes to a fuse block, so maybe something happened there , the trunk is operated by a relay in the same fuse block that the add a fuse went in, I got the harness from gen5diy. It's the only correlation that I have because the trunk opened fine before and it opens if I use the manual emergency pull thing

But if you hear the clicking sound coming from the trunk that means it is receiving the signal and therefore is receiving an electrical current.

the relay in the fuse block in the car on the driver side of the dash, is where 1 relay is, i hear that relay click, the one in the main fuse box under the hood isn't making any sound and the trunk latch isn't doing anything, I'm gonna try to put a test meter on it and push the key fob trunk release next to see if i have electricity going there

I got it to work, I took the add a fuse out and I put the fuse straight into the fuse box, like normal and it worked fine, so I have to find out if I have a problem with the add a fuse or something else, thanx everybody
