Highly intermitent pop noise
2010 2SS M6
When starting my car, realeasing E brake, and then reverse out of my garage. When the car moves the first inch I hear a pop noise like the ebrake had stuck on the back end. Anyone ever run into this? The dealer is going to take a peak even though I told them they won't be able to reproduce it. They will look for "things that look wrong" around that area. They said they hadn't heard of that nor could find any TSBs. |

I get this after washing or when the car sits in high humidity or rain. A bit of rust on the rotors is what I see and the sound must be the brake pads "popping" free after sitting a bit.

Nope happens in cold, hot, rain, dry. Been happening for about 4 months. IMHO it sounds like it is from the back axle and is either E brake or back brake.

I get the same thing. It's been doing it for a few months since I got the car. Whenever I reverse it will make a pop sound and feel like the ABS kicked in or something.
Just now while backing into the garage it was 10 times worse.......... i'm worried something is broken lol |
