Key fob not working - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Went to my car after work key fob was working just fine, no apparent problems. When I got home and turned off my car and pulled the key out I noticed that the interior light didn't come on. I opened the door and the chime came on. I thought it was just a glitch but then I pressed the lock button and nothing. I pressed it several times and nothing. Tried the other buttons still nothing. I opened the door again and the chime came on again. I checked the lights and other doors and the trunk and everything is where it's supposed to be. I got in and started the car again and then went through the whole routine again. Key fob still won't work, chime still comes on when door is open and no key in ignition and interior light not coming on upon key removal. Tried my spare key, same thing. Does anyone have any clue what's going on?

Well I fixed it. I inserted the key in the ignition and did 3 gentle in and out short taps (not pulling the key out of the ignition). Both key fobs are working.
