Question Question about VA Dealer

Ok so my car is on the way by rail now and I have been trying to get all my ducks in a row for any discount that i might be able to get on this car. I know i'm guranteed that $500 incentive for the 60-day opt out.

My question is, has anybody received supplier pricing from Pohanka Chevrolet in Chantilly, VA?? This would really help if i could go in there and know somebody has already gotten it, it would give me some type of ammunition.

Also any dealers that are close in the VA area that have given supplier discounts please list those. Thanks Alot

Umm... hate to say it... but Pohanka is definitely considered one of the "ripoff" dealers locally. I wouldn't count on any discounts, in fact I'd be surprised if you didn't have to pay way over sticker...

McKay's in Fairfax will let you order at full sticker with a $1K deposit and be prepared to wait a bit but since you clearly already have a car on the way, that's not an option, although it may at least keep the price at sticker

Yea i know, they tried to rip me off too along with Sterling Chevy...I got away with $500 over sticker which will be negated by the 60-day incentive opt out. Went to them before i even knew about this forum but it seems like thats a decent deal compared to mark-ups i've seen.

I'm just looking for anybody thats gotten that supplier discount in the area so i have some ammunition when i sit in there next week and tell them they should honor it

Well I paid $500 over sticker and have no regrets about getting the car early enough this year to actually enjoy it for the past couple of months... I'd still be waiting if I had kept my order at McKay's. Good Luck and be sure to post pics and come out to some events in the area with your shiny new Camaro

Well Sax I got military pricing (which is the same amount as the supplier pricing) from Holiday Chevy in Williamsburg. Got my 1LT with what I wanted for quite a bit cheaper plus they gave me my usaa member discount of $750.

What $500 incentive are you talking about....haven't heard of a 60 day opt out?

Thanks doc, thats good info...i can probably use that.

As far as the $500, GM is offering a 60-day guarantee on all of its new cars. If you purchase the car and you don't like it after 30 days, you have 30 days to return it and get full price back for the car as long as it doesn't have more than 4000 miles on it. If you decide to opt out of this option (meaning you can't return it) then they will give you $500 off the price of your car. Information posted here: http://www.gm.com/guarantee/index.js...dId=gm&src=unk

It talks about the $500 in the Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

I didn't get any discounts but that was back in June at Stuzman in Winchester and I was up there last weekend and they have/had a IBM (Dark Blue) SS and they are selling at MSRP.
