And what car isn't 'overweight' these days? Hell my T/A pushes 3700lbs race weight. And it's a 2000. Blame NHTSA if you want. A 2.5 Ton Sedan is par these days, especially a beefy RWD/AWD one. Watch GM release the full specs on the Caprice PPV and then tell me that 'all full size Front engine, rear wheel drive sedans are pigs'. It's a bruiser cruiser. It's a Mopar. They were never light.

Not to mention having seen the new '12 body in person and the buildup of them in R/T and SRT form; I'd say that's one slick looking sedan.

Just put a TVS on top already, Mopar? Or are they trying to achieve it on 'all motor'?

Hey if dodge is doing that then you can only imagine what chevy is going to do.

To be fair, it is a 4 door "family car", so of course it's going to weigh a lot. I'm glad my wife decided not to wait and went ahead and got the '10 SRT8. I don't like paddle shifters, for one. The current ones have that capability on the actual shifter. Also, the thing just looks to ricey for my taste, and I don't think the extra 40 horses are worth the difference in appearance. I sent her a link to the article with the pics, I'm waiting to see what she thinks, but I'm pretty sure I know what she'll say.

Too bad Chevy doesn't have a 4-door car to compete. But really looks like the ZL1 Camaro will smoke both the charger and challenger. But to be honest, I think the king engine fits well in the Cadillac CTS-V Sedan. There probably isn't that huge of a market for a 550HP Impala anyway

I hope Chevy re-designs some of its cars. But then again, I guess not everybody like's Dodge's aggressive looks. I tend not to like the standard Chevy bubbly look. If I buy another GM it'll either be GMC or Cadillac because of the lackluster current Chevy lineup.

4 door cars can be muscle cars and sporty, just not this one with the charger nameplate.

Now if it was called the Fury...

Because of the name? Really? Do you think the 80s Charger with a 4 cylinder and FWD was better because it had 2 doors???? This is the fast, quickest, best handling, best braking, most comfortable charger EVER from the factory! IMHO, a better use of the name than what Chevy did with Impala and Malibu........

Anyway, love it, love all the features, and the aggressive look. Should be a serious homerun!

I love this car!!!! i think it's drop dead beautiful i especially love the rear lightbar. I wish I had this!!!!! It'll be even better when the 8-speed comes! They really improved the looks on the Charger in my opinion.

I like it alot, but 5 speed auto?? really?? Why not a 6spd manuel?? there no reason not to offer it since the challenger has it.

everyone keeps saying that but the only similiarities are in the front. There's a lot more to a car than just the front of it which doesn't really even look that similar other than the shape of the grille
