I have had to hand wash my SS twice in the last few months. It is garage kept and I mostly use Zaino Z6 over the entire car once a week! It really stays sharp!!

Nothing like your own wash bay. I used to do it outside no matter what temp it was. Winters in Pa can get pretty cold sometimes.

Although I made the commitment to hand wash only, I recently had to take her through a drive-through brushless carwash. Nothing ever touches the car so I wasn't worried about swirl marks, and I was very careful driving in not to scuff my wheels on the siderails. Once the wash is finished the car gets blow-dried by huge vortex dryers. I checked her all over for any damage and everything looked okay. Not bad in a pinch but I don't want to make a habit of it.

Since I live in a town home complex and cannot hand wash at home, I hand wash at a car wash center. Take bucket and soap with me. Put in $12. While the clock is ticking, I spray car off really good, fill up bucket, hand wash car, spray car off again. Drive over to the side of car wash and hand dry it then detail it. Takes about 1.5 hours.
