Some of these vehicles also have a sort of halo effect on the line. I don't have a beef with them specifically at all - I just want that damn Kinetic Blue available across the Camaro line.
Car companies understand the value of a good collaboration. Car collectors seek after the "RUF", the "Hennessey", the "Roush", the "Dinan" - these are all badges with racing heritage. Why on earth would anyone deliberately seek out a toy company badge for a performance car unless they were hopelessly childish?

I don't see any difference between a "Hot Wheels" badge and a ricer wing on a FWD car. Both symbolize a complete ignorance about cars.

I agree with your first part but would say that at least the Hot Wheels edition looks good, sans the emblems (that can at least be plucked off).

People buy "Hot Wheels" toys of their cars, not the other way around.

When I want a badge on my car I want an "M" badge or an "AMG" badge or a "Shelby" badge - not some friggin toy company! This car is a disgrace.

I'm the proud owner of the new HOT WHEELS Special Edition. As I know, so far it is the only one in Albuqueruque and possibly the only in NM. What an awesome car. I hear that GM has stopped production on this and is only finishing up what is on the line. This car will be a collector's item one of these days. I also have a 2010 Camaro 2SS, the bumble bee, and a 1987 Camaro Iroc Z28, with 44K miles. I love my babies!

Well, if you don't like the HWSE then don't get one. I'm picking my 2SS HWSE up on Saturday. To be honest, I don't give a rats ass if any of you don't like them. I like them and that's all that matters to me.

"This car is a disgrace" Really? You don't get it and you never will. (never will) Enjoy your ZL1.
