60 Horsepower Chip - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Anybody know how reliable this chip is? It's very cheap to say it gives you 60HP. This ad was on Camaro5's front page so I checked it out.

My car dynos at around 350rwhp,....another 60hp would put me over the 400rwhp mark! All of this sounds good, but I am VERY sceptical. I know of no chip that'll get you that much gain for the price.

The Performance Chips, the electric supercharger kit, the electric throttle lag stuff are somethings we may see useful in those futuristic electric cars.

Oh, I left out Sprint Booster ( plug-n-play) which is suppose to solve some of the throttle lag problem.

Sprint Booster remaps your pedal to throttle relation, giving you the feeling of better throttle response by making the throttle open farther with less pedal input. It technically works and does exactly what it claims, but I think people end up expecting more from it.

As for the OP, that thing is snake oil. That's an absolute lie that they can reprogram the ECU through the IAT wiring. The only thing this piece of crap does is make your PCM think the incoming air is colder, which prevents timing from being taken out. That's it.

It's not exactly BS, nowhere does the ad claim 60HP. It says "gains up to 60HP", so don't be upset when you get just 5HP it is still within the gains they claim. Good luck with it!
