Picked Up a New Ride :)

OK, first of all, I'm sorry but I didn't buy a new Camaro. I plan on keeping my 2010 Callaway SC572 for a while still

What I did buy is a new 2019 Jeep JL Rubicon to replace my 2012 Jeep JK Rubicon. I found the new Jeep on a local dealer lot and it had about 95% of the options that I wanted. It was only missing the painted fender flairs and the trailer tow and HD electrical group, but it did include the Advanced Safety package (advanced brake assist, forward collision warning with active braking and adaptive cruise control), so I made them an offer which after about 3 hours of negotiations they eventually accepted.

I picked the new Jeep up on December 4th, but it was pretty dark out so for now I only have the pics that I downloaded from the dealer website.

Here are the pics and details;

2019 Jeep JL Rubicon 2 Door

- 3.6L Pentastar V6 with engine stop/start
- 8 speed auto with manual shift, hill descent control and tip start
- Black leather interior with red accent stitching
- LED lighting group (LED headlights, fog lights and DRL's with LED accents)
- Cold weather group (heated seats and steering wheel)
- 8.4" Uconnect system with navigation
- Safetytech group (blind spot monitoring with cross path detection, park assist rear camera)
- Advanced safety group (adaptive cruise, advanced brake assist, forward collision warning)
- Steel bumper group front and rear
- Remote proximity keyless entry
- 17" x 7.5" black Rubicon wheels with 33" (285/70/17) BFG KO2 tires
- Trail rail cargo management system

The ride in the new JL Rubi is definitely nicer than it was in my 2012 JK Rubi (both 2 doors). I'm not sure if that's because my old Jeep had 70,000 km's on it, or because the new JL is 2" longer overall and it has a slightly longer wheelbase (2" longer than the JK). Could be a combination of the two.

The 8 speed auto is a perfect match for the Rubi's 4.10 gears and I don't see it having any issues running 35's sometime down the road.

The only thing I still haven't got used to yet is the engine stop/start. Most times I remember to turn it off as soon as I start the Jeep, but everyone once in a while I forget and it catches me off-guard at the first stop light.
