Thanks for the measurements. Looks like they are slightly narrower than the aftermarket brembos. This is actually for a thirdgen Camaro application. So those are just slightly wider than my current Wilwoods and should just fit my wheels.
Since I don't have a 5th gen to measure, would it be possible to provide the friction surface to outer face distance of the rear stock SS/CTS-V calipers as well? Thanks, John |

I'm getting right near 2" off the rotor face to the highest part of the SS/CTS-V rear caliper.

Looks awesome. Did you guys machine the slots in those? They look like stock rotors otherwise.

We had a race shop do the slotting for us,since we could not find a good source for matching front and rear rotors.Besides they were just waiting on the new Indy cars to be delivered anyway.

How will these calipers affect wheel offset for aftermarket wheels?
I.E. I have after market Forgeline GA3's, but still running OEM brembo's. What would clearance be like with the CTS-V brakes? |

They SS and CTS-V are almost the the same. The spokes are close. Razor close sounds a bit too close. You should be fine, BUT a quick call to Forgeline will confirm you have the correct offset. When Dav Schardt (owner Forgeline) and I did my Camaro wheel and tire fitment we had no idea how many sets would be sold. Forgeline knows the Camaro and various brake and wheel combinations inside and out. Give them a call.

I have tried to read about the CTS-V upgrade, can someone clarify, if you have the SS you have 6 piston rear calipers so you only need to upgrade fronts?
Or if you upgrade rear too then you are increasing surface contact and it is better than just SS? Thanks Doug |
