I found and bought my 2SS RS 6M IOM/IOM Camaro today.

I originally ordered one on 5/26/2009 exactly like the one I bought except I ordered it with black rally stripes, I always wanted an orange car with black rally stripes. I also ordered it with the polished wheels. The problem was after 30 days my order code was still at 1100.

I then started calling around to see if I could find one like I ordered and I did, almost, the one I bought had the Arctic White ralley stripes and painted wheels. After looking at it I thought yea I think I really like those white stripes on there also and the painted wheels looked good too and should be lower maintenance. I just hope I didn't convince myself that I liked the white stripes so I could get one today rather than wait 2 or more months and regret it later. Regardless I love the car and if I later hate the white stripes I can always pay to have them removed and have black ones painted.

I know it's all personal taste but would still want to hear others opinion of the white stripes, even though it's too late now.

I didn't drive it home tonight because it was just delivered to the dealer yesterday and needed to be cleaned up. I will post pictures tomorrow once I get it home.

This is my first GM car I have bought since 1986, I hope it doesn't let me down like my previous 2 did in the early 80's.

BTW: Anyone want to buy a sweet 1978 Dodge Lil Red Express Truck? I need a garage slot for my Camaro. If interested view my home page for details including a Youtube video link of the truck.

you can always get the stripes... I almost sacrificed my whole exterior and interior color scheme to get a car 2 months earlier than planned. My dealer is also telling me he might have another deal like this coming up and I already have a TPW. I dunno man its so hard and tempting.

I really like the contrast of the white stripes. I think you did well as long as you did not pay over MSRP. If you did don't tell anyone here because you'll get a ton of crap from folks like me. Congrats

Actually the 1st order the dealer was willing to sell it to me with my GM supplier discount which was $1,250 off sticker.

That is another issue about my purchase. The dealer I bought it from would not give me my GM supplier discount. I said I’m already sacrificing the stripes and wheels you could at least meet me half way to get me off the fence and he agreed. I at least got it for $600 below sticker so I feel I got a good deal.

Either way, IOM with white or black stripes is going to look sweet. If that and the wheels are the only options you had to change, AND got under sticker, you did really well!

I ordered ABM, but my original choice was IOM with white stripes, still creeps into my head everytime I see a picture of IOM. I let me wife talk me out of it, she thought I would get tired of it, not 100% sure she's wrong, but I would never admit she was right

I went IOM with White stripes and I'm so glad I chose it. (The white stripes are glossy and the black is matte...the white looks much better!)

I think the white stripes are better than black. I'm on the fence with Red with white stripes or orange with white.
