What would you pay for this? 2014 2SS RS
I'm considering buying this 2014 Camaro 2SS from a local dealership with 7400 miles. It's a 6 speed manual with Dual-Mode Exhaust, RS Package, Silver Rally Stripes, MyLink Navigation, and LPO option wheels.
HOWEVER, there were some undisclosed issues with the car when i went to see it. The car needs: 1) New GM factory HUD windshield 2) Driver side fog light bulb (possibly assembly) 3) PDR on a small dent near passenger front wheel 4) Clutch issues. Soggy clutch that comes up half way intermittently. Sometimes it works fine and sometimes the pressure feels weak and i have to pick up the clutch from halfway. Stalled on me twice while i had the car for a couple days as a loaner. It's already been in for warranty work and the issue is unresolved. 5) Center console storage tray not closing properly after reassembly during warranty work. 6) Some faint driveline or upper engine noise. Light tap that sounds like a valve or lifter. Most noticeable under acceleration in gear. Happens in neutral also. I was offered $28,300 after dealer fees (taxes not included). Some of the above can be corrected under warranty work. However, this car only has 7400 miles and already has multiple visits to the dealership service department. WHAT WOULD YOU CONSIDER A FAIR PURCHASE PRICE FOR THIS CAR? *Pictures will be uploaded today. Last edited by Turbo_J89; 01-19-2016 at 02:36 PM. |

Nothing, way too many Camaro's for sale out there that are perfect and well cared for.

That's a crap deal, man... that would be a good price for a car that was in good condition, but you're describing a car that has been beat on. I'd probably walk away from the car on the basis of the mechanical history alone.
There's lots of 14s and 15s out there that can be had for similar to what this dealer is pitching that are in much better shape.

Thanks. I was on the fence about the purchase price not knowing the issues mentioned above. After seeing the car and discovering these issues, I'm trying to decide whether or not submitting a lower offer on the car and waiting them out is worth my time. Between warranty work and a little elbow grease i'm sure this could be a nice Camaro. If something along the lines of $28,500-$29,000 out the door after fees and TTL isn't a stellar deal i'll pass. Do you think that would still be too much for this Camaro?
