Next Rounds of Mods

So what I have already done is this:

LMR CAI
Custom Grind Cam W/ new push rods, springs etc.
Stainless Works Headers
Cat & Res Delete
Replaced factory mufflers with FlowMaster 40's
Ported TB
Custom Tune

With the above mods 443 is my RWHP.

Today my car is getting a rocker upgrade (I know this is no HP gain), C&C ported and polished heads with valve job, LMR CAI replaced with ADM :0), 3" headers back Stainless Works exhaust.

I think the heads should give me 25-30
The new exhaust I hope for 15-20

I have read and been told that FlowMasters hold HP back.

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks,
Bryan

I don't know that the flowmasters are holding you back right now. I would say that the fact that you are still using stock tubing is what is holding you back. But I would agree that flowmasters hold back HP. You need to get an exhaust that has a straight through design, not the baffled design of the flowmasters.

That exhaust is good because it comes with an X pipe but it looks like it still has baffled exhaust like the flowmasters. If you want the most HP out of an exhaust you are going to want one that has either glasspacks or straight through design. Something like the SLP loudmouth kit or the S-Type borla kit.

You might consider looking at MBRP's exhaust as well. You can get a T-409 kit for about $880 shipped to your door.

Yeah you could do that to. But if you do I would still look into getting an X pipe.

I really do not want it too loud. I want to carry on conversation in the cab.

An exhaust has to be very loud to not be able to carry on a conversation in the car. My buddy had a cobra with a very loud exhaust on the outside but it is fine inside. My Vette is also quite loud but is surprisingly quite inside. You will just have to decide where your priorities are, whether you want it to be quite inside or if you want the most hp
