I fully agree with you. Lot of dreaming going on, just like when keyboard-jockeys were talking about $50k Z/28's.

The Z28 has it's place in the camaro line and fills a certain nitch. For the performance of the car compared to whats on the road already its a great value. I look forward to seeing some on the road, but due to the low production numbers I'm not expecting to see to many. If they had not produced the Zl1 I probably would have purchased a Z28, but I am a bit bias I like the styling 2012/3's over the 2014's.

And i will pass on any grand sport, Neighbor got one and it is more of a cluster F*** then any thing she is tiring to get her old car back, then the next door Neighbor got a 2014 ZL1 and has no problem's at all, so its all luck or bad luck as to what you get.

Like you said: It's all luck or bad luck.
Whatever that means! I still won't pay $75K for a Camaro when I can find 2-3 year old ZR1's for that and we all know how well they perform. I hope your neighbor gets what she's looking for. |

So what troubles you is the "Z/28" moniker? Because it sure can't be the value for your money, what it can do on track or street math.

I just have a hard time wrapping my head around 75k for a new camaro. I dunno i think they should have made the 1LE the Z28 leave the ZL1 as the top dog and call it a day. Tell anyone who is not a car enthusiasts you have a 1LE they will look at you with 3 heads but say its a Z28 they know what that is. Is the camaro in any trim level not suppose to be affordable for many not just the elite rich folks? Seems to me GM was just trying to show off but it takes 75K invested in a Camaro to be a crazy track car. For that kind of money it better be stupid impressive. At the end of the day though its still a Camaro. I mean no disrespect but my wife calls the Camaro the official mulletmobile. Perhaps the folks at GM have forgot who exactly buys these type of cars. Just my 2 cents.

Which is why it's priced at 75K. No pretenders here only serious owners. It still appears some are really bummed because they will not be able to afford one. If you want to play you're going to pay, plain and simple fact. I'm extremely happy with my ZL1. I hope to see a Z/28 at the road courses or at least parked on the street to admire.

Guys with mullets were never into corners just straight lines. The Z/28 is definitely more into corners...

People want to give GM money to buy a Z/28. That is reality. It's a win/win. Got it? Sleep on that and let it sink in. Time moves on, things change, can you keep up?

BTW can you really call that four door sedan a charger??? The Z/28 is beating Porsche's of all kind and Lamborghini's! I'll call that impressive! Pick a car that can do that under a 100,000! Last edited by Q'smuscle; 03-25-2014 at 07:39 PM. |

It's just amazing that people still make that association the Camaro's were primarily for mullet wearing gearheads...FROM THE 80'S.... my god people, let go of the hate, it's 30 years later and people are smarter and wiser, and if GM wants to go after a more sophisticated, affluent crowd, kudo's to them I for one am appreciative they can attract people with a more refined appreciation for these classic-styled cars with modern engineering. If it put's more money in GM's pocket so they can keep building better muscle cars, I'm all for that. Anybody hating on what GM/Chevy has done with the Z/28 is
