I switched over to the billet brackets from Katech. It completely changes the look of the engine compartment.

OK, so I couldn't find any brackets that I liked, but I saw the Holley covers on a car at a local track event, so I caved in and got them.

For just the covers, they are heavier, but after eliminating the steel brackets, They end up being lighter.

The stock covers + brackets + extra bolts weigh in at 7.77lb.
The Holley covers weigh in at 5.93lbs.

This is without the long valve cover bolts or any gaskets.

Overall they save 1.82lb and they make the engine look a lot cleaner.

Currently going through this so I thought it would be worth mentioning. I have had trouble with two sets of Holley covers now, leaking with GM gaskets.

The Felpro gasket seems to fit the Holley's Ive had better and solved the issue. The GM gasket (12637683) seems to be to tight or deep for the groove in the Holley valve covers.

Your results may vary.

Good info, I had the Fel-Pro gaskets on mine and I saw some leakage in the back after half a year.

Disclaimer: The car saw many days on track and I just found a bad valve seal, so that might have forced the leak.

Katech has the best billet LS coil brackets. They fit perfect on the Proform valve covers.
