Line lock mock up/install
So, I got tired of waiting on a company to come out with an easy kit to do a line lock for our cars. Unfortunately the only solution that I've found is one very similar to the newer mustangs. Our cars have a European style ABS system. Meaning each line out of the master to the ABS block controls a front and rear wheel. You can no longer just put a solenoid between the master and the ABS block and go. We now require two solenoids, one for each front wheel. That jumps the cost significantly. I'm going the "easy" way out. I have seen photos of both solenoids right after the ABS block, but it's a bit cramped for my liking. I'm going right at the junction of the hard line and the rubber hose. This will allow me to upgrade to braided lines when I get the extra funds. So far I'm into this venture for about $200 just in a pair of B&M solenoids and the fittings to adapt it.

Minor set back today. The fittings I ordered are not right....that's what I get for guessing. Worst part is it seems the ends are a weird size. So after about 2 hours of running back and forth between parts stores, I'm no closer to fitting these.

Finally got it situated in a position I like. Plenty of room, once I got out of my own way. It'll even hide behind the inner wheel well. Now to button everything up, and duplicate it for the driver side.

The only evidence that there is a line lock hiding under there.....

Good stuff. I knew the 5th gen had kits for it. Good to see a diy for the 6th.

Has anyone looked at how the ZL1s LL is configured and if it can retrofitted to an SS?

Is it even available to purchase independently? I think some of the model specific parts are limited supply for a while, like the short throw.

I believe trying to retrofit LL from the ZL1 would be difficult considering there are electronics involved. It appears with this setup, it avoids all that.
