Xpel Quotes.

I have 2 different Xpel quotes and !!!!
First one - Standard package includes the front bumper, partial hood, partial fenders and mirrors $995- optional package includes the front bumper, FULL HOOD, FULL FENDERS & mirrors $2195
- doors $325 each ($650)
- rear quarters $895 each ($1790)
- headlights $150
- rockers $595
timeline 10-12 hours to complete

Second one - Full hood, fenders, mirrors and vents - $1843
- Lower bumper $660
- Upper bumper $375
- Pillars and roof header $270
- Front lights $100
- Rockers including behind the wheels $735.
timeline 3-4 days to complete.

I don't even know where to start, they both seem like ridiculous prices but I do want to protect my new car... Need input and advise, Thank you!

Just as a comparison, you should check out this guy's prices. He's doing my ZL1 tomorrow:

www.Proshieldinc.com

He comes highly recommended, so I know I'm getting quality work done.

Why the hell are they trying to rip me off by charging way more than others! I guess for those re-donk-u-less prices I will have to hold off getting it done unless I find somebody else who is more practical in their pricing..Has anybody else here in Michigan had it installed?

I found the prices to be high in Michigan. But I still thought it was worth doing. I had mine done by Larry at Paint Protection Plus. I am very happy with the install. He uses a plotter and didn't roll the edges. But after talking to him about it quite a bit, I was ok with doing it that way. He was extremely professional and his workshop was very clean and organized. I had another quote for similar price, but the other shop was so disorganized and messy I didn't trust it.
I did full hood, front bumper, full front fenders, headlights, mirrors, doors, and rockers. Wish I could have done the whole car, but I couldn't afford anymore than I spent. 1 year with it, still happy I did.

Red, the first quote is from Larry at Paint Protection Plus. Looking at what others are paying he is charging almost triple the price! Who is the other shop that was a joke? If you don't mind me asking what did you pay and get installed? You have any pics? Thanks

Sorry Sam, I'm not doing 3M. Way too many friends with that product that went yellow. I'm sticking with Expel. But thank you for the info.

Xpel and 3M while similar are definitely different. Everything I have heard is that the Xpel product is better. Good luck.

From my vantage point in Massachusetts prices vary quite a bit. What it comes down to is:
-Proper Coverage
-Experienced Installers
-Local Competition
-Warranty

Clearly the lowest price will get you about as little as you can expect. The rest is grading. For a 10 year guaranty, guys with a history you can review, and an iron clad warranty I say its worth the cost. For 5% of purchase price the car is protected from the annoying chips that take many weekends to fix, and the heartbreak when they happen.

Of course a piece of gravel could fly up and hit you, and nothing can stop that, but pick your poison.
