I didn't feel bad, until my Camaro started telling me it didn't like the way I was driving.

And it keeps calling me "Dave". Weird!

Hah hah, there's no way I'd treat my Camaro like I treat rental cars. I do like to open her up on the backroads on sunny afternoons. Around town and to and from work I shift at 3000 rpms, because I do want the better fuel economy. The V6 may seem sluggish to some, but every car I've ever owned before now (aside from my pickup truck) has been a 4 cylinder engine. So my LS is a big step up for me and I love driving it.

Someone here dared me...wanted me to run at the drag strip, but no way am I flipping that black crap all over my car. So I went out on I-85, NE of Atlanta (where I live) got out on the 5 lane wide southbound side and got up to *#@MPH! Not to easy to do with the collateral traffic around!

Hard driving wears down everything pretty much, not just your engine. Imo, the Engine can probably take more beating than anything else.

I drive safely. I don't want to mess up my Ruby or get hurt. But I surely don't baby her. She likes to Gooooooooooooooo. I like to accellerate up to speed quickly. I like being the first in line at a red light so I can take off fast. I like having the power & confidence to pass slow azz cars when I need to. I don't feel one bit bad. I feel bad for the poor sad Camaros that have to sit collecting dust in garages.

I took Mystic on a GT style track after only having her 3 1/2 weeks.. I was hesitant and the HPDE instructor kept getting frustrated because I was afraid to push her.. at first. But as he showed me what she could do - I was amazed! LOL

I don't take her to the straight track since she is my one and only (ie daily driver LOL) - but that doesn't mean that I don't push her when I safely can.

Like my HPDE instructor said - she is NOT upset with you for taking the elbows at 60+ - she is thanking you for letting her do what she wants to do... RUN!

I've ran a 10 pound bottle of Nitrous through this car every two weeks from week 2 of owning this car. This is a solid built engine, and I wouldn't worry about driving it like I wanted to every day.

just took my car out to the countryside for a few launches with the traction off and using the paddle shifters. it felt pretty damn good laying some rubber down and hearing the engine. im pretty sure our v6's can handle the ocasional lead foot driving.
