This is on a VW which is hubcentric. The hub rings are 1.12mm thick. Very easy to break.
Thus, a pain in the butt.

A hub ring is a ring of metal or plastic to help a wheel with a larger center bore fit the hub on the car. Essentially, an adapter.

It's a ring that fills the space between the axle and the center wheel hole, so the wheel is centered. Wheels designed specifically for a car have properly sized holes and hub rings aren't required.

GM cars aren't hub centic... wheels are held up by the studs. I don't think the stock wheels touch the hub ring - the holes are larger than the hubs, under a mm, but large enough to not be hub centric.

That's good to know. I remember C6 wheels weren't and I just assumed GM never learned. Have people actually measured with a micrometer? or do they just seem like they're hub centric?

I went with XO. Very happy! It's a very slick wheel and they show off my red calipers perfectly.
