2017 1LE - V6 Question

I have a couple of questions about the 1LE V6 model.

1) All along, they have said the 1LE V6 would be a 1LT, six-speed, 1LE. Now they are saying that manual 1LT models would be called 1LS. Does that mean that the 1LE V6 will actually be 1LS, 1LE?

2) The 1LE V6 package is listed at $4500. Does this include the V6 engine, or do you have to add the additional $1495 for the engine? In other words, will a 1LE V6 with no other options be $26,900+$4500+1495 = $32,895+ Destination or will it be $26,900+$4500=$31,400 + Destination?

As far as I know it does not include the price of the V6 so I think your $32,895 would be the starting price.

The 1LE V6 package is for a camaro that already has a V6. It does not mean it will add a V6 engine to your 2.0T. The price of the engine is added when you purchase the V6 camaro....correct me if I'm wrong guys!

from the 1LE press release in the sticky post at the top of this forum

For the first time, the 1LE package will be available on Camaro 1LT or 2LT coupes equipped with the 3.6L V6.

OK, but now supposedly there are no 1LT manual transmission cars, they are all 1LS.

On the Chevy website, do this: Select 1LT, then when you get to options, select the 4-piston Brembos for $0. A window will pop up saying you have to add either the heavy duty brake and cooling package, or 1LE. If you select 1LE, a window pops up that says this:

Adding the LT 1LE Performance Package will change the following:
  • Add
  • Heavy-Duty Cooling and Brake Package
  • 3.6L V6 Direct Injection engine with Variable Valve Timing
  • Dual-mode performance exhaust
  • High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps with halo rings

  • Remove
  • 245/50R18, blackwall, all-season tires
  • 2.0L Turbo 4-cylinder SIDI engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT)
  • 18" Silver-painted aluminum wheels
  • Tire inflation kit

That seems to tell me that the V6 is part of the 1LE package.

I think C&D listed the V6 1LE base price at $34500.

When you select an option that has a pre requisite option then the option pops up to select one or the other. When you have a base 1LT selected for the Camaro and you pick the 1LE package it is telling you that in order to select that package you also must select these items as well. Some of those items are cost items and some are not cost items, the V-6 is suppose to be a cost item.

Well the V6's transmission doesn't have rev match capability. But yes, I've been saying all along that all manual vehicles should include rev match since it makes driving a manual easier and therefore more attractive to more people.
