Big guy in small seats? (recaros)

I'm a little anxious about my ordered 2014 2SS/RS with the recaros.. I haven't had the chance to test them out and im a 280lbs guy.. How are they? Are they tight? Will bigger guys like me fit?!

Hope it works out. I'm the same size and most those "race" style seats are too narrow...

That guy is probably right. You could probably sell them for a pretty penny if they don't work out. I don't know if you'll get back what you paid for them, but maybe!

You should be fine IMO. I'm 6'8" 275 and I fit fine in my uncles' recaros in his '13 GT500 and the mustang ones are a little more "narrow" I think.

I'm 5'10" and 240 on a small day and very broad across the chest and sink into the recaros in mine with no problem. The biggest problem is getting in and out as the thigh support will sometimes get your manhood if you try to slide in or out of the seats.

We are in the same boat my friend. (guess we better not both sit on the same side though right?) Mojave who lives north of me received his 2014 1LE with Recaros about a week ago and has graciously allowed me and a few others in the SD area to meet him to check out his car in person on the 26th. If its alright with him I am going to see how the seats feel and will be sure to let you know how they are.

I tested a Focus ST right before I bought the Camaro in June. Looked really cool but I hated the seats. I'm a good deal smaller than you and I found them horribly uncomfortable. The Mustang didn't have Recaro's but it was uncomfortable too, just not as bad as the ST.

And or stop seating and eating at the same time
Unless you have over 80% off your mass above the waist line , you should be fine
