No way I could fault anyone for taking the conservative approach and more than likely the majority of folks getting the ZL1 will do so with no mods in mind (other than cosmetic items).

Here is my take for what it is worth. I have been conservative all my life and now that I am 57 and have a few $$ in the bank, I am thinking about breaking out of that mold just a little.

The ZL1 is a 30% reengineered SS. I think the Camaro brotherhood has tested the SS plenty as has the Caddy guys tinkering with the LSA. What is left to be tested?

The GM folks have ridden the ZL1 hard and put it up wet so to speak. If there were a major flaw I am thinking they would have found it by now as this is not their first rodeo for building a high performance car.

As for me, I am pulling NO punches on this go round. I am basically considering the same mods as Jeremy with a few additional tweeks. Am I crazy? Maybe. Will I have fun breaking out of my conservative mold? Absolutely!!!

Why buy a ZL-1 if you are going to do that extensive of mods ie: Lingenfelter?
