Loyalty Program / GM denied after car on order from Sept 09 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So I ordered my car back in Sept of 2009.
When I ordered the car I called GM to make sure I was eligable for the $1000 loyalty discount (2007 Suburban) and they said yes and it was applicable for the 2010 Camaro.
They also assured me that if I ordered the car in September and it didn't come in until Feb or March then it would still be applied becasue it was on order.
So my car arrives this past Tuesday ( Feb 16, 2010 ) and GM is saying they won't give me the $1000 loyalty now!
WTF???

Just wondering if anyone else has come across this or if anyone has recenty recieved the loyalty from GM.

I had a guy order sept 15, and took delivery jan 15 and he got it!

Is this your dealer telling you this

Yeah the dealer told me they couldn't get it as the new home office letter came out and has excluded Camaro's now.
I called GM today and complained and they are looking into it for me, but I feel doubtful.

the new home office letter was out when we ours. In the old home office letter it will show it is factory order protected! Which is your golden ticket not your fault it took them so long to build your vehicle.
I would feel hopeful otherwise ur dealer is handing you a line

If the loyalty program had an expiration date (take delivery by xx-xx-xxxx), there's really nothing the dealer can do. If you spoke to someone at GM customer service, I hope you got a first and last name and an extension because that's the one who should be held responsible if you don't get it.

GM customer service cannot (and should not) promise you any rebate under any circumstance.

the processes are different in canada!
If it was there and the home office letter says its factory order protected and you ordered within the dates of the home office letter you get the incentive!
