Ya.. it does drop-off up top but that's the motor wanting more! I wouldn't feel comfortable above 8psi. I also tune all them into the 11.4-11.5 air/fuel at a max 16 degrees of timing. I do add a bit more timing on the bottom end to get the turbo spooled but I'll be honest it's a tire smoker!
We just threw a 76mm on a 416ci motor, which the turbo is way out of it's efficiency range but it made about 890 rwtq at 4.5K RPM.. Stupidity! |

can you do this to a camaro that has headers already?
How much HP will the camaro 75 mm turbo upgrade put out? if the base does 600 then you got to be looking around 700 ron the 76mm right? What are you doing about fuel over 600 hp?

Any option of going with a electronic boost controller?
How about going with twin in tank pumps or externeal Aeromotive instead of the BAP? |

We are in NJ..
5 Cardinal Drive Little Falls, NJ 07424 However, we do run transports from coast to coast for pickup & delivery. We have a lot of clients that send their vehicles off to us here, fly-in and take a nice (fast) ride back home All transportation is handled by enclosed trailer, we have a 24' single and a 36' double stacker available for tow services. Locally, we use J&M Towing for quick transports to and from. We are taking a run down to Road Atlanta March 12-13th & then VIR for the 15-16th. Currently I am running one empty on the way back (Which can change very quickly), so anyone looking for pickup services can let me know we can fit within these dates. --------------------------- We have run the BAP's successfully to 650rwhp.. Past that I'd be a little weary of it. We do not currently offer a twin in-tank pump option. If you've spoke with me before, you will know I am not a fan of dual+ pumps. I prefer running one pump, main reason is if that pump fails it shuts the car off. If you lose 1 of 2 pumps, and aren't looking at a wideband or f/p gauge you have a severe risk of damaging the motor. That being said, we are currently working on an Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump setup in our shop Camaro. We are trying to make a "semi" bolt-in fuel system for the Camaro without drilling into the vehicle, the room for aftermarket fuel systems with stock tank is not the best on these cars but it is doable! --------------------------- Yes can be done to a car that currently has headers, but we'll be removing them to give back to you! The kit includes every exhaust component you need, so you can hold onto the headers or put them up for sale. We cannot use them in the current kit. --------------------------- Sure we can definitely see 700 from the 76mm... Unfortunately I don't know how long you'll see these numbers Yes we have numerous LS3's into this range, but from our own R&D here we are not the biggest fans of the LS3 pistons in particular. With heavy supporting safety mods and a good fuel system I can see it lasting for a bit, but I won't put a guarantee on it. However, throw in some forged pistons + rods and no problem to handle 800+ on a daily range. --------------------------- BknBlk: Yes same plumbing. We made all of our crossover tubing in 2.5", coupled with 3" for the exhaust discharge + intake charge (Steps to 4" after intercooler all the way to t/b). We also run the wastegate open unless customer preference is recirc'd. The reason we do this is to open up the usable exhaust, effectively making our exhaust system "larger" not running it recirc'd. Plus we have a few other specialities in the kit for anti-lag. We see full spool at the low 3k RPM mark with the 76mm I am very pleased with that. Our base kit is a bit more expensive than others, but our kit already comes with all the goodies. I can start putting in some generic turbos (We all know PTE is the best race turbo company out there), ebay blowoff/wg, no powdercoat, etc. to really price this kit down. I can buy two off the shelf B/G-M/P turbos for what one PTE billet costs. The problem is that you will be using the parts to their max potential, I am a big fan of using a much better part at part of its full potential than running "balls to the wall." ------------------------ Pricing: $6650 Base Kit (Includes 62mm Turbo) $400 Turbo Upgrade to 76mm $1400 installation, includes synthetic oil change, dexcool flush + refill, all labor + complete dyno tuning (Includes complimentary baseline pass before turbo install). So we are looking at $8050 + upgrades... Yes electronic boost controller is an option, we have a Greddy Profec B in the shop car, but we have used so numerous controllers. I prefer to stay with the Greddy P-B, Innovate MSBC (Discontinued), HKS EVC EZ controllers, but we can go into specifics + mounting locations on a per client basis. --------------------- |

Can you wire a fuel pressure safety switch in line so if one pump fails, you'll get a warning?
I see your logic, it's all good. Can't remember where I saw it , but I saw a sumped tank with the A1000 and regulator mounted on the backside of the tank with an fittings coming out. Looked sweet. You can put rubber mounts on the a1000 to help quiet that sucker down. That'll support 1000 hp easy. I'm a fan of having a rock steady fuel pressure. I hate rising rate regulators and all that jazz. I had a BAP on my car and when I would whack it the pressure would drop momentarily then build. That makes it more difficult to tune. I had a Aeromotive regulator, 60 lb injectors, lines, bla bla bla. You should get a vid of the car with a 76 mm on the street to show potential customers how much fun a turbo car is! Can the stock clutch hold 600-650 rwhp? |
