OP....dude this makes me cringe to even look at. This is why my car isn't going to the dealer unless it's absolutely necessary. I'm watching to see how this turns out.

call autonation. i had to after the courtesy body shop got overspray all over other body parts, interior and my rims when they were fixing a keyscratch. they are going to reimburse me for the rims i had to buy and they are going to re-do the nose that is all over sprayed, the hood and the rear bumper. plus a bunch of other stuff that was oversprayed as well like the bowties, taillight bezels etc is also being replaced. body shop had said it was the best they could do and they were done. auto nation sent a rep out 3 times for viewing of the issues and seem like they are going to truly fix the problems.

Wow. That is unacceptable...and they worst part is they were being shady and were hoping you wouldn't notice it right away so they could deny they did it

Make sure you follow up with GM directly, so they know about this dealership.

I recently had a bad dealer expeience with my Solstice and I made sure I documented everything and alerted GM. It is a shame that customer service has become what it is and you have to fight to simply have something fixed without more damage.

Step 1 in the service manual for the headlamp is to remove the front fascia.

I'd bet they tried to shortcut it and just unfasten the one side, kinking it up on the other side where it flexed.

100% douchebaggery. Burn them on the survey you get after all is said and done.

This is part of the reason why I now drive a Dodge. There isn't a GM dealership anywhere near me that I would trust to work on my car. We did have one good Pontiac/Cadillac/GMC dealership in town that was pretty good, but they closed up when they killed Pontiac.

Pride in workmanship is a rare thing these days. Hopefully, there won't be any permanent scars from the botched repair.

I hope you're taking pictures before you open the door. Try to snap some from different angles.

kind of off topic, well not really, but did they charge you for the Halo replacement?

because i noticed that my halo on the left side is a different color as well.

It falls under warranty work. A few others have had the same issue replaced for free. Of course their cars didn't come out looking like they were trying to sing an Elvis Presley song!

Could something have happened after the light was replaced to cause that? Like someone in the parking lot leaned against it funny, or someone kicked it?

Unreal that they would do that and then try to pass it off to you. I would be ashamed and embarrassed if I were the dealer.

Somebody at that place would have some body work to do to get my boot out of their ass. That is pure "I don't give a sh*t" work. Send these pics to a customer service rep at Chevy.
