Gotta give it to Ford for keeping the muscle car alive while Chevy and Dodge were taking a time out. Unfortunately during that time, the Mustang turned into the Honda Civic of the muscle car world :(
I for one love the Camaro, and would never buy a Mustang. But to be honest, the Challenger holds the truest "old muscle" look. IMO, Mustang and Camaro are new age cars with slight retro styling, where Challenger looks more like an older car overall. They are beautiful... but the only thing I hate more than a Ford is a Dodge All in all, I'm glad that Mustang keeps answering every move that Chevy makes. It makes for good competition. The Mustang turned into a "sissy girl car" because there was nothing to compete with it! And to all you Ford lovers... I'm sorry. That 90's to early 2000's pony was hideous, and for that matter... so was that Ford Escort with the 5.0 badging before it, and I don't care HOW fast it was lol. And lastly... I'm disappointed in a way with the ZL1 and the GT500. Paying 50-60 grand for a pony car is just... wrong :( |

Should be interesting to see what Chevy will do about the increased horsepower over the ZL1. It's a great time to be a buyer in the pony wars! |

The times I drive my Mustang, I have nothing to prove and could care less what other people think. They dont pay my bills nor do they tell me what I should drive. If you have to prove to yourself that you have the best car by knocking others then you may have the wrong car.

I've had 5 Mustangs and tons of Chevys...my last Mustang was an 08 Bullitt and it was an absolute dog, but great looking. I like the idea of 550 or even better 650 HP as on the not yet produced GT500, but my word....!!!! there was never a car that looks so much like a catfish in the grill....it's awful...the GT and Premiums are much better looking.
I've never had anyone tell me they didn't love the looks of my Camaro and most drool over it!

Yeah the arguing is really pointless on this issue. It's like democrats vs. republicans, both have different opinions and it's always gonna stay that way.
Sometimes when I see a new car come out with some insane numbers, I think "damn I wish my piece had that". Then I look back to what's in my driveway and all of a sudden that desire goes away. Even though I'll always be a Camaro guy, Shelbys are pretty sweet and the new ones look nice. Challengers are also totally badass.
