Did you get yours ceramic coated?

I think I found a shop that will do the install for $350 as long as no fab has to be done. Ill have to drive over a hour to get there and have to talk the wife into coming to get me but def worth saving over $300.

Yes. I got them ceramic coated inside/outside along with my hfc, but not inside cats for $288 plus $40 for cats. If you purchase long tube headers, you might as well get them ceramic coated, before you install them

Look nice for sure. May be a toss up for me on which I can do. I can either get Kooks with the HFC or get Stainless Power with HFC and coated. Have not quite made up my mind yet.

No regrets vs buying Kooks or other?

Stainless works are just as good as any been running a year no problems only regret is not coating them cause they put off a little heat under the hood

Since you have the L99, don't do the LS3 conversion! Delete the AFM/DoD and keep the VVT!

Guess maybe ill go with the Stainless Power and save some money. The AFM was turned off when Ted tuned the car. Love it so much better now. Can it ever be dammed and keep the VVT? What is the advantages of having it?

Well, budget wise. My speed engineering were under$400 and paying $300 for coating so $700 all in but i did have to complete the passenger side. Not everyone has to tho. You can delete the afm and keep VVT. VVT will give you more low end power and it better performance wise, but it is another thing to worry about. I'm a fan of simplicity.

Yeah I like simple also. However, nothing is simple on these things now a days. I miss the good old days where there were no computers etc etc.

Love/hate relationship. You couldn't tune like you can nowadays and get 800WHP on a street car running 93 octane.

Ok that part is very true. However, there were a good many cars produced that were over 400HP stock. So Id assume there were still ways you could get more out of it. My first ride was a 1979 Berlinetta and I make jokes with the wife that her 2015 mini van has more HP lol.

None, the fit and finish are second to none, and all good clearance everywhere, and the sound is nice also.. Made the car twice as loud, plus we put in an off road connection, no cats.. My total bill for everything including dyno tune was 1300...
