Which One to buy?
Thinking of joining the club and looking for some input. Plan is to track the car and enjoy on weekends here and there.
Long term value - will putting up with no AC be worth the "one of just a few" in the future? 2014 vs 2015 Fewer Built in 2014 - more collectible or doesn't really matter? CTF - 699 xxx - would you buy one of these with low miles (there are few out there with less than 1,000 miles) - will it be more collectible? or would you buy a new car at best available pricing - seems like some good deals to be had on "leftover" cars! Thx in advance and thanks for all the build information posted that I have learned from the past week or so! Leaning towards Gray as I like it best overall, but black and Red are both awesome as well. This is clearly a low production car and would be a fun for the track - I have not had a Camaro since my 1987 IROC! |

I'd say it'll be a long time before this car has any collectible value. I'd find the car you want at the best price possible and go with it. Is it really worth the misery of no A/C just to have "one of a few? " If you trailer the car to the track then maybe...

Personally, I'd look for the best deal, but if looking for something that may more collectible then the 2014 w/out AC is your best option. However, if you plan on driving it on the street on a regular basis it seems it would be hard to live w/out AC.
Best of luck and if you do buy one, you will not regret it!

I think valuations on these are at or near the bottom- they are following in some very similar footsteps of misunderstood GM hi po offerings. You might see a bounce if they don't offer a Z in a gen 6, but one things for sure if they do it won't have a 427 in it. Don't think the whole 14 is more rare and worth more-or that CTF cars are, but do think the two 427#d cars of either MY will be desirable provided they are well preserved. JMHO

Gray(AGM) is an awesome color but may be difficult to find as it is a much lower production color. Black & Red are much more plentiful. Good luck in your search and get that car to the track!

With the limited production numbers and the car being as special as it is i believe they will hold value and mostly likely appreciate in the not so long term.
The low mileage all stock will be the most desirable. I don't see 14s, non AC cars, or diff colors making much of a difference. The wild card will be what if anything GM does in the future. |

Thanks for input - living without AC in S. Cal would not be fun.
20 years from now I am sure buyers will feel the same way - would be great to have "one of a few" but they will buy the one with AC so the can drive and enjoy it! Decision - Decisions - Decisions! |

A/C is a must unless it's an all out race car.
Get the best bang for the buck, it's a buyers market on these right now. Lots of inventory for only 1800 cars made. Dealer wholesale on cars with 1k-3k miles is around $45 at auction. So, with a little money made for the dealer $48-49k would be a good used buy. Nice well kept cars will still fall. $35-40k will be the bottom before anything happens positive. '14 would be less production numbers but I really don't think that will matter since there is no difference between the years. C6 Z06 is a good example. |

Anyone know if the dealers got the $15,000 rebate from GM for the 2015's like they got for the 2014's?
Thanks |
