Cost to safely run 10s

I see a lot of packages out there that offer decent performance gains but seldom do I see must have pieces like bigger reservoirs or heat exchangers. I'm looking for a ballpark figure of what it really takes to run the number in these cars while still remaining reliable. I'm guessing it will take 610 rwhp in an a6 to run 10s. Is it possible to do it without headers?

My car put down 605rwhp on ADM's dyno with the mods in my sig and I've got a handful of 11.0 slips during Texas summer.
Car easily has a 10.8x in it as it continues to cool off.
Full weight. 93 octane.

It would probably be the smart thing to do but since I already have the ZL1...

The hellcat thing has been beaten to death, I'm just wondering just how much it would take to do it with the Camaro. I luv my car, but for me it's lacking in power. The only thing I would've traded it for would've been a c6 z06...until I took a ride in one. Fast car no doubt, but just getting a little dated.

I haven't done it yet but I'm most confortable going the Lingenfelter route. I'm considering upgrading the SC cooling too

623 rear wheel horsepower 617 rear wheel lbs ft of torque. 2 year warranty

Quote:
This package gives you additional power over our other supercharger upgrade packages while maintaining a safe level of boost & supercharger RPM. The GT9 camshaft has an excellent sound quality and will not degrade the vehicles drivability or reliability

I think driver ed first in order to maximize your potential. Unless you are good there already. Then other mods.

I'm signed up for the next HPDE level 1 school at Road America and have made a few outings at the 1/4 track to work on launching it.

I agree with Big Dave that it's very drama free and needs more power. I keep my cars a long time so its worth putting the money into

My A6 ZL1 goes in next week for heads/cams and few other bolt-on upgrades. Leaving bottom end as-is. This setup is already yielding over 720-730rwhp with few other builds I have seen from the shop keeper. Time will tell what these numbers will mean on the strip.

I have an m6 so it is a bit different for me but if I were you I would do the following.

1. id850's
2. 9.55 or 10 lower ring ( or some combination of upper ad lower like 8.6 lower 2.55 upper if you do the upper I would port the snout wile your there)
3. longtubes kooks, arh, stainless works or power (catless)
4. ron davis hx or super chiller
5. good tune
6. mikey thomson drag radials (skinny's up front ifyou can swing it)

you running pretty sweet times stock so I would think the recipe above would makes 10'sr happen almost every pass.

the cost of all that varies because the parts vary. 4k-6k if you do your own work depending on choices
