I had axles popping out and a vibration...

Turned out to be diff bushings. Had to take the diff out to confirm:

I had a lot of suspension mods when I found this...

May be worth a check just to be sure.

Tire sure can cause vibrations... sounds like you found the main culprit.

Im wondering if its been the damn tires the whole time.
It's possible that your drag radials rotated on the rims when you launched.

There are a couple of things to consider.

Did you launch shortly after getting the tires installed? The beads may have been wet.

Did you lower the pressure at the drag strip? If you go too low, the tires will rotate on the rims. That's what bead locks are for. But for casual street night racing, just don't go ridiculously low.

Drag radials wear like crazy, I would say it's just normal wear on them going out of balance. You would be much better off having two sets of wheels and tires. I always get my drag wheels balanced. I think they ride like shit when I compare them to my street wheels.

I'm having the same issue... I found that the trans mount on my vehicle is very soft for what I think it should be, when the car is in the air I can move the trans up and down about half an inch with minimal force, I've ordered a ZL1 mount that's "supposed" to be made out of a harder material, we'll see if that fixes my issue and ill work my way back from there.

In that case I would think they will wear pretty quick. I was surprised at how much better they grip at the track. On the street I really can't take off very fast or they just spin.
