6L80E to TH400/4L80E Wiring
Like the title, I'm doing a 4L80E swap with a manual valve body. I believe I have the wiring figured out but I wanted to ask before I go cutting factory wiring. From what I can gather, I need to place the shifter's safety switch in-line before the starter solenoid, red +12v on the switch connected to the harness side of the cut wire, and the output wire connected to the other side that plugs into the starter solenoid. Then there are a pair of wires to connect from the factory shifter connection. Plus, connecting wires 10+14, and 11+13 on the transmission plug. Is that the jist of it? This information isn't easy to come by so I need to make sure it's accurate. Thanks!

If you interrupt the starter solenoid use a relay to handle the amps. OR interrupt the relay in the fuse box going to the solenoid.
