Today’s 1LE 1SS is already the spiritual successor to the ‘67 Z/28 and should have been positioned as such. And, just as the ‘67 SS396 was the top of the line back then, the ZL1 sits at the top of the line now. There will be no Gen. 6 Z/28 - GM made sure of that by ruining the history and reputation of the Z/28 with the overpriced Gen. 5 model.

That is old info. It WAS their refresh prediction - the one that just happened for 2019.
