Get them while you can.
Original production schedule: Quote:
GM extended the production date, this is a "sunset period" Z28 was coming, now cancelled. The 2019 refresh was so little, for almost no cost: "Give it new taillights, but make them fit the old holes" Not even a real refresh at all. Realize GM is making this up every day, they could change their minds at any time. GM cancelled the Corvette after the C4, told them to "sunset it". However, Bowling Green renegades secretly developed C5 behind managements backs. Time will play this out, but GM management is seeing the sunset at this time.

A wise choice might to be to offer a Pontiac looking 2021 Camaro and wake up the dealership sales numbers. They could call it the Trans Am Not

More hp+torque, new tires, digital cluster, 10AT (instead of 6AT), active exhaust, Custom driving mode, updated interior material quality, new packages like Bulllitt and Performance Package 2, etc. And they marketed the hell out of the refresh with new videos every months (about silent mode, about it doing 0-60 in 4s, etc) If you already had a 15, there was a lof of new stuff that could justify switching to an 18 model (and based on what I can see in forums and on car meets, a lot of people do that). Chevy would have done the refresh a good favor if they at least added more power. They just did minor tweaks, changed the styling to a not as well received look and forgot to show and tell anybody why you should want the refresh. To this day, the only press material about the Camaro since refresh are the horrible renderings of the 19, a few b-roll shots where the refresh is just standing still and the camera only show two lame angles of the car and one photoshop where they fixed the front for 20. No driving footage, no ad (which does not mean TV ad, but just a video on their yt page), no handing out the refresh to all the shows and youtube channels, etc. And they didn't even reveal the car at a car show, but a morning news channel nobody watches... People love to argue that the refresh design was a bad choice. But Chevy failed on so many things about the refresh, the design would have been fine if they did everything else right. I still can't believe it's the same company that is promoting the Corvette right now. If there will be a 7th gen or 2nd refresh, for the love of god, let the same guys from the corvette media stuff on the refresh.
