Extreme heat from Vents?

I did post this in another thread, but yesterday the heat from the vents were extremely hot and long lasting.

It did not subside after a few minutes.

The AC was not on nor was the heat nor were the vents.

It made the cabin, even with the top down, unbearable.

I can't imagine this is normal.

Same issue, try to enjoy a nice cruise with the windows down but the vents let in so much hot air with the fan turned off

Use the recirc button to stop air flow in OFF mode.

It's a Chevy. Accept it and move on.

HVAC design is crap in these cars: unless you run it with the AC on, you get heat.

There is no "vent" setting that will just pull in outside air without crossing the coils.
