HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the 2010 SS/RS T/E!

Happy Birthday to our 2010 SS/RS. Here it is at its first cruise-in. Only a few weeks old.

16 years ago today....

...right after breakfast....

Martinrea laid down the subframe....

...while some of y'all were getting ready to be suckin' down BBQ.....

I consider the subframe decal the "born on" date since it's got a date and time stamp on it. The car obviously wasn't finished on the 3rd, but it was no longer just parts in a parts bin.

Some other event was happening that day too. Y'all remember this, right? Our car SORTA made it at the event...at least pieces of it did before they were shipped away.

What a coincidence. Today is my 2014s 11th birthday. Bought brand new on this day in 2014. Happy Birthday!

Go right ahead. I robbed some of them too from the Martinrea meet and greet posted on Oct 3, 2009.

Ahh... I have a 2010 2SS Camaro manual coupe, with no reverse/back-up sensors. I didn't take care of my front subframe decals, and those were like one of the first few stickers to start fading, cracking, peeling off, etc... I'm kinda sad, but I still have a few good stickers around the car, from early to mid 2009. I'm assuming my particular car was a mid 2009 release 2010 year model 2SS.

I originally had Cyber Gray Metallic stripe decals on the stock hood and trunk, but eventually swapped the hood for a salvaged 2014 Z28 hood (white originally, painted black). I also swapped out the factory trunk lid spoiler, for an Anvil Notch carbon fiber spoiler (expensive CF piece!).

Other than that, I have a factory Ground Effects appearance package. It seems like a lot of people don't really know how to be careful with the car, when lifting it with a 2-post vehicle lift. The very first week I had my car, I had the Chevy dealership I got my car from, damage my side skirts; and of course, they denied it all...

Then I went to a tire/wheel shop, to get some 2014 2SS factory 20" inch wheels swapped on, since my car came with some 20" Foose F104 black/machined aftermarket wheels. They proceeded to somehow have my car slip off the post jack or something, and collapse, cause my rear passenger quarter panel, by the fender well, was caved in. Took me like 3-4 weeks for insurance claims to finally agree to repair under insurance coverage.

So, I see this decal today. Never looked for it before. I saw the date of 1-22-2015 on it. I decided to take a rag and wipe of the dust and dirt off. COMPLETELY erased all the ink. Thanks!
