Z28 lowering springs

Id like to lower my z28 about 1" or so. Does anyone have a source for springs that have close to the same spring rate?

I don't, but I'd suggest getting coilovers. Even cheap coilovers are better than lowering springs...imo

A lot of R&D was put into these cars to make them perform how they do. Unless you're concerned with just looks, I wouldn't mess with the height.

I've done the Detroit Speed Engineering (DSE) Speed Kit 1 on my 1LE with the Z/28 DSSV's. Prior to this past May, I had been running the Z/28 springs/dampers/anti roll bars (ARBS). I track my car and drive it on the street, and the DSE lowering springs and matching ARBs work excellent with the DSSV dampers. Yes, the DSE springs are softer than the Z springs, but the DSE ARBs are stiffer than the Z ARBs. The car still transitions excellent. It may not be a well pinned down as the Z setup, but it corners flat and the DSE rear ARB is adjustable to fine tune a setup. I run the DSE front ARB full stiff, and the rear, at the middle hole or full stiff depending on other varaiables.
I have been on the DSE/DSSV setup all summer and have improved my time at my home track, Pitt Race. On the track I run 305/30-19 Goodyear 3R on 19x11/19x11.5 wheels.
There is another member here with a Z/28 that first did the kit, aris is his username and he also had positive thoughts on the setup.
Do you track your Z/28?

I run the DSE speed 1 kit on my car. Overall very happy with performance. I do regularly track.
