Auto Head lights & Wipers

Any word on if the camaro will have automatic head lights and/or windshield wipers? Not a necessity but after having auto lights for so long, I'll probably forget to turn them on at night and they're nice to have.

I would assume as well.

For the auto headlights there should be a noticable little black/semi-transparent dome on the center of the dash near the windshield. It should be noticable in pictures. That would be a dead giveaway.

i figure you can turn the automaticness off. i have an auto-light system on my truck (1999) that don't have an override, so it does what it wants when it wants & sometimes it turns the lights on if i turn away from the sun, or drive through the shade. that's a pain.

the dial on the dash on the right side behind the steering wheel are for the lights and the automatic wipers

I'm sure there's probably a better picture out there, but if you look on the dash right in the middle there's a little thing sticking up. I'm going to assume it's the auto-headlight light sensor.

Yay!!! Gotta love modern conveniences To me, these little things show the attention to detail. It would be easy in an all new model car to forget something stupid like this.

In my '01 you have to push the button a couple times to override the headlights. So it must have been '01

Sorry to revive this thread but I was wondering if we had received any official word on either of these two yet? I realize that the presence of the light-sensing dome is pretty much a gaurantee of auto headlamps, but what about the auto/rain sensing wipers?

Im not sure that its the auto light sensor. I believe that could be the key sensor. But I could be wrong.

I think it is the auto light sensor, cause My G5 has that dome, but not one of those sensor keys.

Hmm ok, well I went out to one of my GM cars that has auto headlights and has that same dome in the same spot and tried covering/uncovering it with a few napkins and shining a flashlight on it but nothing happened so I don't know if it is the sensor or not. It makes sense that it would be though, since people would be sure to keep the windshield clean on their vehicles so they can see and therefore light would consistently enter relatively unmitigated.
