Disable DRLs

Is there a simple fuse I can pull to disable the DRLs? I don't care about the fogs going on instead, I prefer to have all the lights off in the day. Thank You

Just unplug the harness from the bulb. That'll do it

Take the switch apart and cut the spring. You can turn it all the way over to "off" and it will stay there. Super-easy, and free.

Here is what you do get and extended harness, like this one.

Then cut the low beam wire in the center, then wire it in to this relay.

Wire it on the switched side then all you do is t-tap the running light and ground the outer side of the wire, This will let your headlight come on automatically at night and not on all day long and you dont have to move the headlight switch.

That is the way to do it if you like moving the switch at night.

Based on the orignial statement about the fog lights it sounds like he might have an RS?

If you have an RS unplugging the bulb should work.

If you don't have an RS you need this

Do this! I actually cut the little plastic piece that the spring rebounds off of. I think this is the the simplest and free way. Then just turn your lights on at night. I run 6000k fogs and drl switchbacks during the day.

Agreed....free and relatively easy to do. As long as he knows that he'll loose his auto headlight feature and will have to manually turn on the headlights at night and turn them off manually as well.

That's something I didn't want to loose which is why I went in search for a plug-n-play harness. Now I get the best of both worlds and can be completely lazy about it.

Good point, but it was a "plus" for me, as I don't like auto-headlamps, either.

Can you explain the wire connections above more clearly? What color cable, connecting to which part of the relay (control, power, output, ground) etc.

I have the extension cables, relay and wiring ready. I have eagle eyes installed already and my halos are connected to parking light. Similar to you, I want the DRL turned off during the day (and headlights can turn on at night automatically, ideally, although this is not criticle).

I have the 2012 LS.

That is the way to do it if you like moving the switch at night.
Would this not throw the lamp out error message on the dash? The bcm is going to detect no current when the lights are turned off.
