I never doubted that you could be a Sportster, only used the one I owned as a comparison to my friends V-Rod Muscle he had. My Dad's Vulcan 750 would easily keep pace with my 1200 Sportster, so by no means is the Sportster a super fast bike but it's not a super slow bike either.

As far as "light to light" races go, I'll give you that. Light to Light races aren't real races(least I don't consider them a race). Yeah it's fun to screw around at the stoplights but not a real race when you've got a stoplight race that's but a couple hundred feet long in most cases.

Also most 600's aren't really known for prodigious amounts of torque but yes they can be a bit problematic to launch right. It usually boils down to the clutches in the bikes, you can over cook one real quick just practicing launches.

I would say though, race a R6 or GSX-R600 at the track before you can lay claim to smoking them. And if you see anything with 1000 on the tail line up next to you, leave it alone. There's a reason a GSX-R1000 will go 0-100-0 quicker than most cars can go 0-100

Again, very nice Bobber, love those bikes...

Absolutely like I said I only smoke the 1200 up to about 90 MPH or so. It is a fantastic little bike. I went hard at the wifes bike yesterday. Lowered it 4 inches or so. New bars, eliminated the push cable, took the exhaust off to make a new one, and switched her 170 to a 200 mm. Just need to finish up the tins and I can paint them. Should be done in about two weeks hopefully.
