Muffler Delete/Straight pipe?

Hey ladies and gents I'm new to the site and new to the gorgeous 1SS Camaro now sitting in my garage. Ive always drove trucks but decided it was time to test the waters with a muscle car.... My question is... Honestly what are the Pros and Cons of doing a muffler delete? Im looking for the beast sound... Deep but not obnoxious.... Please give me all the info you can. Ive done my research but theres mixed opinions... Let me know SUMMMMTAN!!!!

Pros: cheap (cut off old mufflers, weld on new tips), louder than stock
Cons: drone

Pro/Con: increased deceleration popping

I'll be honest with you, best thing to do is high flow catted mid pipes. It sounds much better, runs better and has no drone. It nit much difference in price. Muffler delete doesn't usually pick up power either, but the catted mid pipes do.

Well my buddy did the muffler delete and liked it but wanted a little more after a while. He went with Long tubes, high flow cats and had to take off the muffler delete and put some sport mufflers on it bc it was tooo loud! Now he loves it but had to go to the trouble of selling his muffler deletes.

Off topic.. Im an xray tech also and I live in Baton Rouge I see ur in Lafayette! Camaro guy my car is IBM also and I see u live in denham!
