Im sure you probably already know this, but be careful with the headlight covers on the HID headlights. Its been listed that its not advised to run the covers because the lights get too hot.

hmmm....actually I missed that warning entirely. Thanks for the heads up. I try to follow the forums here but I have limited time. Care to point me in the right direction for info? Thanks!
What's it likely to do? burn out the light? Melt the covers?

I think it has something to do with melting of the lenses but I cant say for sure. I was wanting to get them as well, but after reading the warnings I decided against it.

thanks for the warning about heating. I'll keep an eye out for the problem and will search for the other reports! I used similar covers on a gen 4 camaro and loved them except I had to remove them everytime I was out of the city on a rainy night (i.e., couldn't see anything). These seem pretty dark too....but I spend most of my time in the city with street lights, etc.

I ordered these in stealth smoke ( http://www.headlightarmor.com/10-che...ector-kit.aspx ), I hope they are too dark where you cant see the brake lights

The bowtie is the next to blacken.... not sure how I want to do it just yet. I could put vinyl over it, replace the entire tie, or order one of the after market things I've seen. What do ya recommend?

OP, can you post a pic of them at night, with the halos on? I wanna see if you can see the halos through the covers. Thanks.
