HELP - Oracle Mailslot Scanner Install Problem

I'm installing the Oracle Mailslot scanner, and I'm having problems. The scanner is powered on CONSTANTLY. Once I connect the power to the fuse box bolt/lead, the scanner immediately comes on and the remote is not shutting it off. The battery is brand new in the remote, but the scanner will not turn off. It just keeps glowing.

While installing it, the car is off, I don't know if that affects it. The scanner just will not turn off or respond to the remote. I need help!!

Black wire is going to ground (screwed into the body of the car)
Red is going under the bolt that's attached to the fuse box.

I followed Oracle's video, but the scanner is just constantly on.

Help, please! I appreciate all input!

** I know this may not be the correct thread, but I'm kind of freaking out right now :( **

I've had problems with the remote. It might be that. Sometimes it would work but sometimes it doesn't. Mine was installed at the fest. Give them a call. If you know someone with a scanner ask them for the controller just to see if that's it

Will other controllers work with it? The scanner just glows and doesn't change patterns at all.

My remote has to be directly in front and no further than a foot away. See if that helps

Do you remember if your scanner turned on immediately after you wired up power/ground?

My remote quit working after a week or two, I last left it on the solid pattern and tapped it into my halo wire so it comes on and turns off with the halos/headlights only. This way I don't need the remote

I'd rather put out a campfire with my face than have to send this whole thing back. I'm so frustrated right now, you guys have no idea

I luckily have an extra LED controller / remote laying around (actually found it in the center console when I bought the car). I'm hoping that might work with the scanner.

The remote will work on all scanners. When mine doesn't work ill borrow my Buddy's and viseversa. When they first hooked it up it was on auto pattern so that's normal

So, when they wired it up it immediately powered on? I'm just wondering if that's normal.

This is the extra remote I have. The only difference with this and the one I got with my scanner is the color of the remote. So, if god's really on my side, this remote will work with the scanner. I really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really want this remote to work with my current scanner so that I don't have to have it fixed/replaced.

Yes completely normal. That's the same remote that I have

Going to wire up the scanner again soon and try both remotes again, hopefully one of them will actually control the scanner.
