Do magnets stick on our doors?
Decided to splurge big on mods this year by throwing away the blue painters tape and actually buying door decals for this season's autocross.
(Baller. I know, but that's just the way I roll) Was about to hit the buy button on magnetic ones, when I realized that I'm not sure if our doors are made of aluminum or steel. Anyone running magnets?

The 1LE's are the only 5th gens that have magnetic doors, they came with the high performance package

When you do a track day are you assigned a number or do you just throw on your favorite number??

With the club I'm registered for this year, it's a first-come first-serve on numbers starting with the registration for the season opener. Your number is owned by you for the remainder of the season.
Other clubs can work differently. The NJ chapter of the BMW CCA used to require you to snail mail or email (yes, not everyone had email when I first joined) your preferred numbers and they would respond with your assigned number. Some clubs do it on a weekend-by-weekend basis.

And I just realized that you asked about track days. I'm talking about auto-cross right now. Track days often don't require numbers since timing is discouraged.
