Nitrous oxide and Challengers

I am having a great day at work today. I am installing a 75 shot ZEX NOS system on an 09 Challenger. I even get to test it once the system is hooked up. Pictures to follow after I get off tonight.

Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

What's a Challanger? Is it a knock off of a Challenger?

spelling fixed pictures and story coming later. Going to dinner right now

Alright here we go
Our muffler guy brings in his brand new (1260 miles) Challenger RT and asks if we will do him a favor and put his NOS kit on for him (all his lifts are outside and it was below freezing). So the job gets handed off to me. Of course I am excited to get to not only install the kit but also to tear into a Chally at the same time. And I made a deal with my boss if I install the kit I get to test it, and he said yes. So I very carefully begin to tear the car apart and get all the hoses run and hooked up. Here are some pictures of my little adventure.

Bottle in the spare tire well

Missing back seat cushion and passenger seat back along with rear passenger side panel

Yep passenger seat is out too

Line running behind glove box, routed through the wiring harness pass-through

Feed line and fuel line being routed

Solenoid box hidden in the corner on the nice little bracket thingy Dodge so nicely provided

Jet hiding underneath the CAI tube

Tight fit

Tearing down the dash mounting the arming switch. It was mounted on that blank panel behind the blinker under the fuel gauge

Then I put it all back together. Sorry no pictures of the finished product and no videos or pictures of the test drive, I was alone. It was pretty quick and pulled quite well without the gas, then hit the gas and it really made some sweet noise and pulled noticeably better. I will try and get some finished product when he brings it back from LT headers, underdrive pulley, and computer tune. After those three things he plans on racing it alittle bit and then bringing it back for a new rear end, cam, and possibly upping the NOS shot. He currently has obviously a CAI, and high performance cats and a magnaflow X pipe dual exhaust.

After driving that thing around I need my new Camaro ASAP!! I may be slipping to the dark side ever so slightly. Even though it was an automatic and the 5.7 it was still a blast to drive.

Yes only a 75 shot for now. It is still all stock even the spark plugs. The guy is doing some research on which plugs to get and he is bringing it back in next week for more work and we will probably tune it to a higher shot. He wants to get to a 150 shot eventually.

NGK TR6's gapped at about .035-.045

he should do research before wanting to do upgrades to begin with. JMO. 150 shot should def wake that thing up.

Purple stands out too much. Too bad none of the kits come in a plain black or natural alum. finish. Or do they.

He did do research the shop that sold him the kit lied to him and told him it included plugs therefore he didn't buy any but I will definitely pass your information along to him. He is having a hard time tracking down plugs that are 2 sets cooler than his stock ones.

Blownhotrodder I know very little about this kit but I believe the only color they offer is purple.
