When I did my rear fender stripes and hood spears, I used about a cap full of rubbing alcohol mixed into a small spray bottle of water.

Quick question as a lot of you guys have muffler deletes. Will my 2000 Pontiac pass inspection if I just replace the rusted resonator and run straight pipes the rest of the way back?

I think it depends where you go.

Find the right shop and anything goes

Should be fine Vin, mufflers are not needed for inspection. You need working cats and no CEL.

why is it so hard to find an exhaust shop to do a simple muffler delete and replace the h-pipe with a resonated x-pipe? some shops want nothing to do with it (lack ability?) or they want far too much money...

It's not the lack of ability, places don't want to do custom work because it is not mainstream=make money, and that's why those that do, want so much.

Well maybe if they weren't so choose and did more of this type of work at a little lower price. With all the new type of muscle cars around. And if they could do quality work. Thru. word of mouth they would probably have more business than they could handle.

What was I thinking

i could buy an axle back setup for less then some of the quotes i have gotten to do the muffler delete and install the x-pipe. going to try a couple more places...if i knew how to weld i would do the x-pipe myself.
