Suspension upgrade for Convertible
Does anyone have experience with upgrading the suspension on a convertible? I have a 2013 SS, and am looking for generally improved handling. I know obviously that a convertible will never handle as well as the coupe, and I'm not planning on going racing or anything. Just want a bit better handling. I am most interested in if the 1LE suspension kit would be a good choice? Will those parts from that kit fit into a convertible (i.e. is there any difference between convertible and coupe suspension)?

I have 1LE shocks, struts and front bar on my vert. I don't remember why, but it was a real pain getting the front bar out and I just sawed it in half. It was hollow, contrary to popular belief BTW. I don't recall having as much trouble removing the front bar on the turbo car. Maybe I had less patience since I had the original bar from the turbo car sitting on the shelf or maybe the 1LE bar was for electric steering, but the struggle was real. Regardless, none of that had anything to do with it being a vert.
I was going to use the 1LE bar in the back but I run a staggered tire set up and instead followed Justice Pete's recommendations with a 32mm bar from Pedders. The 1LE bar would have been easier to fit, but the 32mm bar was not a big effort either. Since mine is a 2011, I was also doing an FE4 conversion at the same time. Other differences are that I run ZL1 springs and solid cradle bushings. I did not notice any increase in the harshness of the ride when I did the springs, struts and bars and I have not driven it a lot since I did the solid cradle bushings, but I have not noticed any additional NVH yet. I will say it's definitely less harsh than the turbo car that has Z28 struts and springs. I'm very happy with the handling on both.
